There are two types of people with two approaches to getting their licenses, Some read, learn and understand all the written material in the manuals, and some will memorise all the correct answers to the test. Those that memorise the answers, will learn all the ways and how about amature radio as they use their radios and interface with other Hams.
ARRL publishes a manual (somewhat like a textbook) that you can purchase. The manual has all the information you will need to not only pass the test, it also has information that will help you understand the workings of the radios. At the end of each chapter, it has a quiz on the chapter with all the questions that are on the test. Once you finish the manual, you can take practice tests as many times as you need to be confident that you will pass the test.
